Sanjay Kumar is Owner and Principal at ASK Energy that enables clients achieve value from their energy and IT investments to drive improvements in services and reduction in cost.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Sanjay was the Director of Service Management at Accenture responsible for defining strategies, global architecture and standards across Accenture’s global outsourcing services organization.
Sanjay has over twenty years of experience working with several clients in the automotive, manufacturing, energy, financial, government and telecom industries. His experience ranges from consulting on organization and strategic alignment issues to delivering large complex services from centers across the globe.
Prior to joining Accenture in 2006, Sanjay defined and implemented a comprehensive global delivery strategy for a large IT Services Company by establishing operations in Brazil, India and Malaysia Due to his efforts, the company reestablished its position in global infrastructure management utilizing low cost locations across the world.
To support the entrepreneurial spirit, Sanjay chairs the Cleantech Special Interest Group at The Indus Entrepreneurs (the world’s largest entrepreneurial organization) chapter in Detroit. He serves on the executive committee and is responsible for partnership development.
In addition Sanjay chairs the Troy, Michigan Chamber of Commerce’s Sustainability committee focused on getting the city of Troy ranked as one of the top ten sustainable small cities in America.
Sanjay is active in the community supporting organizations such as the Jason Foundation, the Jason Expeditions and the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit.
Sanjay has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and a MBA from Michigan State University.
