Kapil managed the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center's Venture Forum, the early stage equity academy program (an initiative focused on helping high-growth entrepreneurs raise growth financing), and globalization initiatives.
Kapil most recently served as Venture Development Manager at the Illinois Coalition. At the Illinois Coalition, Kapil managed client relationships in the software and communication sectors and relationships with angel and venture capital investors. In this role he assisted companies raise capital, increase their sales, and establish strategic partnerships to further their growth. He also directed the Monday Morning Meeting, a forum for early stage companies to present their business plan and receive feedback from experienced investors and entrepreneurs. Prior to the Illinois Coalition, Kapil worked as a consultant at a west coast venture incubator and in investment banking on Wall Street.
Kapil graduated with Honors from the University of Chicago with a BA in Economics.
