PanIIT Announces finalists for the PanIIT 2009 Business Plan CompetitionThe PanIIT 2009 Conference team is pleased to announce the finalists of the Business Plan Competition. The winners of the competition will be selected at the conference on October 9th by a select panel of judges. The four finalists were selected after two rounds of evaluation. In the first round over seventy (70) business plans were judged to select sixteen semi-finalists – four for each region – Boston, Chicago, Dallas and the Bay Area. Each of the team presented detailed business plans to a select panel of judges in each region. The judges were extremely impressed by the quality of the plans and were challenged in selecting the winners. We are please to announce the following winners and runners up in each region.

Software uses remote sensing soil and weather data to determine the optimal land topology and crop data enhanced yield and revenue.
Chicago Region Winner - Spin a TaleSpin-a-Tale is a retail chain that provides a unique book-creating experience for children aged three to eight. The in store experience will allow children to be creative and artistic while being entertained. The professionally printed custom story book that will come out of this experience will feature the child as the protagonist and will increase his/her interest in reading. 2nd place: EDossea eDossea, Inc. has created a system that allows dentists to share digital records, especially radiology type data with their patients, specialists and insurance agencies. 3rd place: Convis ConVis is developing a next-generation retail store technology that enables stores to automatically recognize consumers thereby enabling the store to provide highly personalized service, optimize the shopping experience, and create automated loyalty programs ultimately leading to a big boost in revenues. 4th place: Smriti Creative Arts Smriti Creative Arts are targeting a niche market segment by offering specially handcrafted cards that embodies true emotions of sender and harmonizes the recipient’s feelings. At the same time we are committed towards empowering the under-privileged people, training them and creating an earning opportunity for them.
